Honest Laughter
Share
Recently, I’ve observed something new in myself. I can laugh freely now, what I call honest laughter.
I can feel my laughter flowing together with my friends at the same time.
I can be playful and laugh with my husband and son, and as my laughter ripples out, I see them become curious and start laughing with me too.
These moments of pure joy come effortlessly when I am honest with myself.
But laughter wasn’t always easy for me.
I used to rely on logic to analyze everything, and in doing so, I lost touch with the pure joy and feelings in the present moment.
Sometimes, seeing someone else’s joy even stirred pain or distance inside me. I’ve been there too.
Maybe joy isn’t about being happy all the time.
Maybe it’s about being honest, allowing what’s real to move through us, until one day, laughter just flows again.
I’m still on this journey of realigning myself, analyzing less, being truthful with my feelings, and making choices that truly come from me.
If you’re on a similar path of self-discovery and realignment, don’t give up.
I’m here, walking this path with you.
