40 and Full of Blessings

I am filled with so much surprise and blessings from the universe. When I let go of my old self, opened up fully, and released expectations, life showed me gifts beyond what I could imagine.

This 40th birthday was truly special. For two whole days, I experienced life without frustration, anger, or agitation, only joy, freedom, and delightful surprises.

We had a short staycation at Shangri-La Sentosa. Since we mentioned it was my birthday, I expected a simple cake from the hotel. But when we arrived, we were welcomed with early check-in, late check-out, and to my surprise, the duty manager even offered us a buffet dinner to celebrate. They decorated our room beautifully and prepared a cake, handcrafted chocolates, a fruit basket, a thoughtful card, and even a bottle of wine with glasses set up. A small colouring pack was also prepared for SH.

The weather was cloudy it is perfect for us to enjoy water play, despite the forecast of rain. At the pool, chilled watermelon was served to everyone, refreshing us from the warmth. We laughed, played, enjoyed the playground, the buffet dinner, the cozy room, and the TV. I loved seeing my boy simply relaxing and watching cartoons with ease.

The next morning, breakfast was crowded, so we were guided to an alternative dining venue. Without much thought, we just followed along and it turned out to be the best choice. In the ballroom, a huge projector was playing cartoons, keeping my boy happily entertained, while we savored breakfast slowly and peacefully.

Before leaving, we enjoyed one more round of water play, where my boy met another little one. They played together, and before parting, that child gifted him a water gun.

This whole journey was wonderful. It reminded me that life is truly simple, and it becomes great when I keep my heart open and flow with whatever comes my way.
